There are so many opportunities in everyday to get our bodies moving, which is what our beautiful and complex bodies are meant to do! Even if your not a runner, the book “Born To Run” is a great story of what we should be doing, which is moving and running. Society tells us to eat cheeseburgers and relax on the sofa, but that rarely ends well for us! 😷
So find some time everyday to lace up those sneaks (good excuse to buy a new pair!) and get moving!
My 3 mile walk also takes care of my shopping for my party today, so a double bonus! And no guilt of a couple extra cocktails… 🍷🍸🍷
VSP has an Exec challenge to raise $375k for the American Heart Association! Because we love a little healthy competition, we have a selfie challenge to show why we are supporting and raising important funds for the AHA.
Running downtown this morning I passed the Dignity Health hospital on J St and thought this was a perfect selfie opportunity! Gotta make a fool of yourself sometimes to get the right shot!
Cheers to Sacramento and the more than 1,000 men who stepped out in their finest high heels to raise awareness and funds for WEAVE.
Can’t say it wasn’t the highlight of my day to see these guys cruising (some running, some hobbling) around the capitol in high heels, and I must say I was impressed by the variety. And who says Sactown isn’t the fashion capitol of the west! ☺ Our men can work a wedge like no other…
Congrats to all the brave men and to WEAVE for a successful and entertaining event! Sactown rocks!!
What’s the # 1 killer of women in America? Cancer? nope…Diabetes? nope…having too many Doritos and glasses of wine? nope…it’s heart disease, causing 1 in 3 deaths each year. That’s staggering! But we can help by raising awareness and funds for education, research and helping to eradicate this disease that is highly preventable.

So yesterday when my massage appt got canceled did I go grab a bag of chips & sit on the couch? Sounds tempting actually but nooooo, laced up my sneaks & walked 7.5 miles around midtown!
Got a haircut, did a little shopping & got some rays (with sunscreen of course! ). And felt amazing after, both the bod & belly!
For those of us who have desk jobs we spend so much time on our booty, & not doing anything fun with it 😉 Our bodies are meant to be in motion, so whenever you find even 10 minutes to get moving, do it! Your body & especially your booty will thank you for it. And you get to treat yourself with a nice shake or juice after to re-hydrate yourself 🙂

No, unfortunately not that kind! Worked my glutes off this morning at P20’s buns & biceps class!!! Great new studio in midtown Sac with tons of classes to choose from…walking 13 blocks to get there didn’t hurt either! Thanks TK for the inspiration!
